About Shamanism
Shamanism has roots in every culture all over the world, from Siberian and Laplandic peoples to the Aborigines of Australia and Native Americans in the US. Shamans were the medicine people, spiritual advisors and leaders of all things otherworldly. They communed with the Upper and Lower worlds, bringing messages and healing to the people. Power Animals were consulted, Teachers were sought, and the spiritual health and well-being of the tribe was paramount.
Today, the modern Shaman is called upon to perform his or her duties in similar ways, and s/he uses techniques that are centuries, indeed ages, old. These days with violence in media and the stress of everyday life, perhaps the need for Shamanic work is even greater.
What I do
As a Shaman, I perform many varied services which include:
• Extractions: This is the process of healing where I seek out and remove pools of disruptive energy from the body. This is a clothed process with minimal touch.
• Soul Retrievals: Our spirits are subjected to trauma of all kinds, and pieces of our spirits will retreat from us. I will Journey to find upwards of three lost soul essences and return them to you. It is recommended that you do not eat heavily before this process.
• Power Animal Retrievals: I Journey to the Lower World to find your Power Animal and bring it back to you. This includes an introduction on how to commune with your Power Animal.
• House Blessings and Cleansing Rituals: Moving into a new home or finding discordant energies in your present home can be a challenge for the sensitive soul. Using various techniques, I will help clear the energies and improve the feeling of your dwelling space.
About Me
I began my Earth Spirituality practices back in the late 1980s, and have delved into many forms of energy healing and ceremonies. I have been on a Shamanic path for several years, and have completed a year-long Shamanic apprenticeship with Dory Cote of the Center for Earth Light Healing. Currently, I am writing a book of Pagan/Earth Spiritualist rituals for each of the eight Wiccan holidays, and have written a total of 80 rituals for this work.
