Chants
If you’ve been looking for Pagan chants, you’ve found the right place!
Thanks to Daniel at Authentic Voices and his Amazing Recording Devices, MP3s of these chants are on their way to becoming a reality! I wanted to add MP3s of the chants so that you may have music along with the lyrics to remind you what a particular chant sounded like, or to learn new ones.
In the meantime I have recorded a number of chants as MP3 files on my iMac. The quality isn’t the best, but you get the general idea of the tune. All chants on this site
Be aware that, as you read and listen, these songs and chants do tend to vary in lyric and tune from place to place. What you hear is what I have learned, and there may well be other variations. If you know the creator of a piece that is listed without proper credit, please let me know… we always want to give proper attribution and credit.
If you have a song or chant to add, please email me! Be sure to include the proper title (if any), lyrics, and author (if known) so we can properly attribute each piece.
Another fabulous resource for chants is the Earthspirit web page, featuring MotherTongue and a chant library. Go through EarthSpirit’s website fully – they are marvelous people and have given SO much to our Pagan community.
There are also MORE marvelous chants to be found here at Pan Pipes Page. DO check it out!
You can join the Chant Group which began with the Chant Intensive at Rites of Spring, or look up Chant Whores on LiveJournal.
